Comic fanatics assemble: Marvel will see its own theme-park within Disneyland from 2019. Announced yesterday, Disneyland Paris revealed its first concept artwork for the new space which will see unique interactions, immersive attractions and new way to celebrate the history of the media franchise.

Showcasing everyone from Spiderman to Doctor Strange and Black Panther, the new park is promising an innovative experience that will include “thrilling entertainment offerings and dining options”, as well as a reimagined version of the famous Rock‘n’ Roller Coaster, “which will become a high-speed, hyper-kinetic adventure.”

Expected to open in 2019, the project costed at upwards of $2 million USD is part of a multi-year expansion with the Marvel themed area as the first step in the transformation of Walt Disney Studios Parks. Beyond the parks, 2020 will see Disney’s Hotel New York® transform into “Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel”, the first Disney hotel to showcase and celebrate its history.

Stay tuned for more info, but in the meantime start looking at flights to Paris ASAP. Check out the official announcement here.
