Following the positive test results of Tom Hanks and wife, Rita Wilson last week for coronavirus, as well as Idris Elba this week, Kevin Durant was added to the list of celebrities who have contracted the virus overnight. Durant has become the fourth Brooklyn Nets player to come down with the virus and with any case, those who were in close contact must be self-quarantined.

According to PageSixDrake is now in self-isolation following a party with the NBA athlete in West Hollywood last week, with the rapper posting a video from his home basketball court in Toronto, saying, “My life for the next however long.”

“Everyone be careful, take care of yourself and quarantine,” Durant told The Athletic, adding that he is feeling fine and not showing any symptoms. “We’re going to get through this.”

The mystery has remained around how Durant contracted the virus as he has been out for the season with a torn Achilles tendon. As for the rest of the team, there has been stringent practices in place to contact those who were with the team during the first cases.

“All players and members of the Nets travel party are being asked to remain isolated, closely monitor their health and maintain constant communication with team medical staff,” the Nets said in a statement. “The health of our players and staff is of the highest priority to the organisation, and the team is doing everything within its power to ensure that those affected receive the best care possible.”
