This season, Calvin Klein is inviting us to be part of something special. Past the updated offering of new denim staples and coveted underwear for its CK One collection and rebellious revival of the CK Everyone fragrance, a tribute has been made to individuality and the freedom of self-expression. “I am one, I am many. I love everyone of me.” Featuring a diverse and star cast of young visionaries including, musician and actor Eliot Sumner, skater and photographer Evan Mock, musician and makeup artist MLMA, rapper and dancer Priddy the Opp, and models Cara Taylor and Parker Van Noord, Calvin Klein has introduced itself into the new era.
In a fresh campaign shot by Glen Luchford, the energetic, enigmatic visuals explore the many aspects of self, boldly embracing and proudly showcasing to the world a collective individuality and shattering of the status quo. It is a powerful celebration for those unconstrained by boundaries, gender norms and definitions. Alongside staple wardrobe pieces and underwear with genderless appeal – graphic prints clash with monogram logos – 2020 also sees the update of CK fragrance range.
Introducing its first clean, gender-free and environmentally conscious fragrance, CK Everyone, is formulated with 79 percent naturally derived ingredients, including naturally derived alcohol, and is vegan, recyclable, and comes in a folding carton that contains 30 percent post-consumer recycled materials. The newly-released fragrance is made for every generation and inspired by the authentic and youthful-minded. For master perfumer Alberto Morillas, the challenge was to craft a clean and genderless fragrance using naturally derived ingredients. By ignoring traditional gender signifiers, a zesty, citrus scent was realised.
