Italian fashion house Fendi is celebrating its 100th anniversary, and this time, it’s doing it Kawaii-style.
To mark a century of effortless Italian style, Fendi is revisiting one of its most memorable collaborations. Back in 2012, the brand teamed up with Japanese illustrator Tarout, whose quirky, playful designs turned Silvia Venturini Fendi’s iconic Baguette bag into an illustrated canvas. Now, the duo has reunited to bring the Men’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection to life with an added playful twist.
The latest collaboration—titled Silvia and the Baguette—once again taps into Tarout’s whimsical style, this time illustrating four generations of the Fendi family. From founders Adele and Edoardo Fendi through Silvia herself, all the way down to Delfina Delettrez Fendi, Artistic Director of Jewellery, and even the youngest family members, the illustrations playfully chart the history of the famed Roman house.
Each piece comes alive with Tarout’s kawaii-infused motifs—like cartoon fruits, cute slices of toast, and onigiri. A few of the most anticipated items from the collaboration are illustrated versions of the Peekaboo and Baguette bags, printed silk shirts, bucket hats, bag charms, and decorated canvas accessories.
The Men’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection, appropriately titled Silvia and the Baguette, is proof that after a century, Fendi still isn’t taking itself too seriously.
You’ll find the collection hitting Fendi boutiques and online in March 2025—and yes, there’s even an exclusive Peekaboo X-Lite Small dropping just for Japan. Time to book that ticket to Tokyo?
