Fendi is a label known for its inventive use of materials, transforming the once mundane into avant-garde works of art. Fendi’s A/W25 collection at Milan Fashion Week proved their commitment to subversion in the realm of luxury, but why stop with fashion? Their latest Riyadh boutique is no exemption and is a new example (in an ever-growing list) of the Maison’s inimitable vision.
Located in Solitaire Mall, the space marks a bold fusion of Italian heritage and Saudi Arabian influences. The 290-square-metre boutique is conveniently located on the ground floor and was designed by the Maison’s in-house Architecture Department. Timeless Fendi motifs come together with locally sourced materials, reimagining the Maison’s Roman roots through a Saudi lens. Travertino marble, a hallmark of ancient Roman architecture, forms the backbone of the design, from the arched entrance to the fluted columns that frame the interior.
The boutique’s layout invites exploration, but its most striking aspect is the centrepiece; a Patagonia marble feature wall displays handcrafted amber-glass shelves, highlighting the iconic Peekaboo and Baguette bags. Flanking it, leather goods for women and men are presented on the right and left respectively, in niches framed by the Astuccio motif, meticulously crafted by the Fendi Fur atelier.
Opening just in time for the warmer season, the new boutique displays the pieces from Fendi’s Spring/Summer 2025 collections. The womenswear area to the right is bathed in soft ivory and pink light, its Travertino walls subtly etched with FF logos. In contrast, the menswear section embraces earthier tones, leaning into a more masculine ambience. Fendi Casa’s influence is apparent in both spaces, with plush seating crafted from Spiderman Crystal marble for the ladies and leather armchairs for the gentlemen, inviting guests in each section to linger.
A private VIP room, fashioned from Red Travertino marble, offers a more intimate shopping experience. Here, a bespoke Fur Tablet depicting Riyadh’s skyline sits alongside plush Fendi Casa furnishings, illuminated by Regis Botta’s Parisienne Montmartre lamp.
Blending Roman grandeur with Saudi design influences, Fendi’s new space is a statement of style, luxury, and culture. If you’re looking for the ultimate shopping experience, this is the place to be.
