Earlier last month, Game of Thrones announced the air date of its eighth and final season. Two years in the making and hundreds of teasers later, the most anticipated television event is almost upon us, and to celebrate, Adidas has teamed up with the franchise for a coveted collection of sneakers. With a first look of the style leaked in early December, the completed line has been officially revealed.
Being two of the world’s most recognised brands, its collaboration could be the biggest in 2019 with the hype already generating across the internet, and naturally we’re on board. Comprising of six iterations, the co-created line of UltraBoosts are designed after distinct houses and groups drawn from the critically-acclaimed series.
Reimagining the UltraBoost silhouette, each knitted upper is presented in various colourways, featuring a TPU lace cage and the supportive sole that makes this sneaker a cult buy. Named after Night’s Watch, the White Walkers, House Targaryen, Daenery’s dragons, House Stark, and the House Lannister, the special factor comes in the form of iconic phrases emblazoned onto the shoe. As well as decorative crests relating to each house, the range also boasts custom-branded insoles.
First rumoured to drop in “early 2019”, it is now said that the Game of Thrones x Adidas UltraBoost collection will launch in Spring.
