Legendary tailor Dapper Dan has teamed up with Gucci for a ’90s inspired collection, and after patiently waiting since the initial campaign images were released back in May, the collection has FINALLY dropped. Reimagining archive Dan pieces, the collection has been updated with the Italian fashion house’s touch.
An aesthetic match made in heaven, the collection pays homage to the Harlem native, looking back to his New York roots, with the look book a nod to archival imagery from the ’80s and ’90s. The vintage-look line features slouchy silhouette’s in the form of tracksuits and relaxed denim along with a play on Gucci’s iconic sneakers – all incorporating oriental influence. Accessories also have a showcase, with chunky chains, oversized glasses and leather backpacks.
