It turns out that Quentin Tarantino isn’t the only authority on cult classic films, in fact, it has since been revealed that Celine visionary, Hedi Slimane, is another film fanatic with his own impressive watch list. If you’ve made your way through the realm of Netflix, Stan and Disney Plus, it appears there is a new streaming kid on the block. Co-funded by the European Union, Mubi is the streaming service that provides a wide curation of classic films and cult favourite viewing and in collaboration with the designer, you can watch every film from Hedi Slimane’s list for free.
10 films as chosen by the artistic director have been made available on the streaming service for a free 30-day period. From vintage horror film Night Tide and Francis Ford Coppola’s Apocalypse Now to Le Cercle Rouge, a 1970 Franco-Italian crime movie starring Alain Delon and Yves Montand, widen your cinematic repertoire whilst in isolation. As expected, the films are teeming with expert costuming and style references – perfect for any fashion enthusiast.
