BOSS strengthens its legacy at the intersection of fashion and culture as the Presenting Partner of the newly launched Art Basel Awards. This prestigious initiative honours the visionaries shaping the future of contemporary art—not only pioneering artists but also the curators, institutions, and patrons whose support fuels transformative creative expression. Unlike traditional awards that recognise singular achievements, the Art Basel Awards celebrate those whose contributions drive lasting cultural impact.
With nine award categories, the program spans the full spectrum of influence, from Emerging, Established, and Iconic artists to the key figures behind the scenes—curators, media, and cross-disciplinary innovators. More than recognition, the awards offer recipients unparalleled opportunities: high-profile commissions at Art Basel, exhibitions at leading global institutions, and mentorship programs designed to cultivate the next generation of talent. BOSS, a long-standing patron of the arts, aligns seamlessly with this vision, reinforcing its commitment to fostering creativity at the highest level.
“Fashion and art are deeply connected and, as a result, art is an integral part of our DNA. HUGO BOSS has a 30-year history of art sponsorship and by supporting the Art Basel Awards with BOSS, we are taking our commitment to the next level.”
“We are excited to continue driving innovation in the arts and its related fields. With its premium positioning, global relevance, and pioneering spirit, we believe Art Basel is the perfect partner for this endeavour,”
– Daniel Grieder, CEO of HUGO BOSS.
Under the leadership of Art Basel’s Vincenzo de Bellis, an international jury will award 36 Art Basel Medals. In an unprecedented peer-to-peer process, these medallists will then select 12 Gold Medal recipients—six artists and six industry leaders—who exemplify the spirit of innovation. The winners will be honoured at an exclusive ceremony at Art Basel Miami Beach, a fitting conclusion to a program dedicated to recognising and advancing artistic excellence. With this partnership, BOSS affirms its role as a catalyst for cultural evolution, championing those who shape the artistic landscape of tomorrow.
