After several weeks of teases and glimpses from Jerry Lorenzo’s first collaboration with Nike, the creative director has unveiled his Fear of God x Nike collection. Revealing the lookbook in full, the tonal sports collection will include a fresh new court-ready sneaker, set to stir hype amongst sneaker-heads worldwide.

Featuring unique sweats, oversized shorts, t-shirts, and technical outerwear, the collaboration highlights the all-new sneaker, coined “Nike Air Fear of God 1”. Already seen on the feet of NBA stars, the high-top style features a game-changing double stack Zoom heel and full-length internal zoom, giving the sensation of weightlessness. Drawing design cues from the Nike Huarache Light, the sneaker is available in a light-beige or black colourway. Aiming to awaken the spirits of sportsmen and women, the sneakers tap into the emotional element of sport.

“It is a shoe that should only be judged by the emotion it gives the kid when he first sees it — however it makes him feel,” says the Los Angeles-based designer. “We live in a day and age when images are leaked left and right, and products are leaked without consideration and emotional attachments. I’m aiming to give a visceral experience whether the kid sees it first on Ben Simmons coming into the arena or worn by his favourite athletes on court.”

According to Nike, the collection is set to drop from December 15. Check out the lookbook below for a closer view into what is to come.
