Kourtney Kardashian is known for her eclectic approach to wellness, often touting a holistic lifestyle complete with float therapy on her socials and through her brand POOSH. But her latest reveal has some of her fans questioning her methods… drinking her own breast milk.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, the reality star told her followers that she had fallen ill and had indulged in her own breast milk to soothe herself.

“This filter is crazy and I just pounded a glass of breast milk because I feel sick,” she wrote. “goodnight!”

Along with the message, the 44-year-old shared a filtered selfie of herself posing with a thumbs-up while rugged up in bed. She didn’t elaborate on the reasoning behind her beverage of choice, but some reports outline that there are some nutritional benefits to consuming breast milk, including calcium and protein.

Kardashian-Barker welcomed son Rocky with her husband Travis Barker in November 2023. The baby was welcomed into a blended family of eight, including Kardashian’s children Mason, 13, Penelope, 11, and Reign, 8, whom she shares with Scott Disick, and Barker’s children, Landon, 19, Alabama, 17 and Barker’s step-daughter, Atiana, 24.

A few days prior to her unorthodox admission, Kardashian-Barker reshared a post on her Stories to send a message to “new mommies.”

“Your body is beautiful at all stages,” read the post. “During pregnancy as we are glowing and growing, postpartum as we are healing and shrinking, and then that period I find the hardest as our bodies are still adjusting.”

She empathised with others about the changes your body goes through long after giving birth.

“If you’re breastfeeding, that’s a whole other part of it. I try to be kind to myself as my body finds a new normal,” she continued. “The pressure put on us to bounce back when everything is new and different isn’t realistic. Life is beautiful; you are beautiful. Just a little reminder (for me too) XOXO.”
