On May 3 2020, Alessandro Michele announced that Gucci would “abandon the worn-out ritual of seasonalities and shows to regain a new cadence”. Thus, the Italian fashion house was removed from the fashion week calendar and embarked on a two-year format – more elusive and with more freedom. Today the creative director will unveil a collection title, “Gucci Love Parade”.

The iconic Hollywood Boulevard will serve as the runway and highlight the intersection of creativity and culture within the City of Los Angeles, poised for rebirth post pandemic. And who better to inject sartorial life into the metropolis than the decadent design cues of Gucci?

In addition and as part of Gucci’s Changemakers program, powered by Gucci Equilibrium, the House will provide significant support to the Los Angeles and Hollywood communities through a donation to the city’s most critical needs: homelessness and mental health.

Watch Gucci Love Parade above on November 2, 8:00pm PT time and for Australian viewers, on November 3 at 2:00pm AEDT. Stay tuned for GRAZIA’s fashion and beauty reports.
