If you’re looking to elevate your homewares in the lead up to Christmas, we have just the gift idea for you. Delving deeper into the science of fragrance – following the fashion house’s anticipated debut of men’s fragrance earlier this year – Louis Vuitton have expanded its luxe offering of homewares with a line of high-end candles.
Whilst the line is a new venture for the Louis Vuitton portfolio, its quality and soft scent is unprecedented. Developed by Master Perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud, the line showcases four variations that reveal the quality and attention to detail that the French fashion house is known for. With the aim to capture nature’s scent Belletrud describes the line as a, “poetic breeze blowing in from the outside and gently lapping.”
Sweet, soft and calming, if the fragrance doesn’t convince you, its luxurious exterior will seal the deal. Designed in collaboration with Marc Newson – the brains behind the bottles from the Les Parfum range – the soft wax is incased in a ceramic pot, and finished off with a natural leather handle, metal studs, and gold-finish metal lid that also doubles as a coaster when alight.
Dreaming of a European Summer? Île Blanche is inspired by a dream island destination and combines the essence of ocean mist and sun, with a fresh infusion of jasmine tea, citronella, orange and verbena. Further inland, the Feuilles D’or scent is a representation of patchouli growing in a dense forest combining musky notes of incense, cedarwood and Peruvian balsam.
ICON’s favourites come in the form of the L’Air du Jardin and Dehors Il Neige iterations. Showcasing the bloom of roses in the middle of May throughout the French commune of Grasse, L’Air du Jardin is a delicate infusion of florals – but further refined. The latter, Dehors Il Neigeis is a strong contrast drawing inspiration from snow fall in a chalet, creating a cozy atmosphere with notes of cinnamon and star anise.
