Have you ever wanted to participate in regular hiking activities but are too afraid of wearing the god-awful attire that comes with hiking?  Fret less, as Lululemon has officially branched out into the wilderness with a dedicated line of hike-wear that is actually, well… stylish.

In recent years, Lululemon has really stepped up its game, designing an ever-evolving range of athleisure that straddles between function and style; the perfect harmony when it comes to activewear. Once a brand reserved for die-hard yogis that catered predominantly for women, Lululemon now boasts a dedicated range of activewear, golf wear, urban wear and now, hike wear.

Lululemon Hike is an adaptable, innovative collection that makes every detour a welcome one. A stylish collection that promotes prepping less and hiking more, and one that can adapt to whatever conditions are thrown your way. Above all, the new Hike Collection is underpinned by the brand’s core belief in the physical and mental benefits we gain through exercise.

Whether you’re a hiking fanatic or simply want to look good on your next uphill walk, this collection is for you. While the collection is extremely adaptable, comfortable and stylish, it’s also designed to deliver peak performance when it counts through the use of specialised fabrics like its quick-drying or cooling textile technology to counter the changing climate conditions you may face.

“We wanted this collection to be about the functionality Lululemon is known for, elevated with adaptable details for outdoor adventures like packable, lightweight layering systems, fashion-forward aesthetic and colours, with abrasion-resistant, highly breathable fabrics,” explains Ben Stubbington, Lululemon’s Senior Vice President of Design and Concepts.

“We created Hike for anyone looking to get outdoors, enjoy the peaceful feeling that comes from immersing oneself in nature and connecting with friends and community along the way.”

What Lululemon exceeds incredibly well at is designing a range of athleisure that isn’t showy – the Hike collection is the perfect example. Made up of earth colour palettes like maroon, lilac, granite, and sage green, there are also a few garments that offer pops of colour, like neon and purple.

The Hike SS22 collection is built off a layering system, which is pivotal when hiking for long periods of time. This is done through the creation of different style vests, anoraks, tees, shorts, and caps, all rendered in abrasion-resistant and highly breathable fabrics.

Highlights of the new collection include a full-zip, water-repellent fleece vest, a classic (chic) hiking pant that converts into shorts; a trusty packable hiking anorak, plus much more.
