We know how to spot a good sneaker and Reebok know how to deliver. Following on from its first highly sought-after partnership with Maison Margela, the collaborative duo is back from round two. This weekend, Reebok will launch the Classic Leather Tabi in bianchetto but once again, you’ll have to be quick to snag the style.

Drawing on codes evolved by creative director John Galliano, the sneaker combines the familiar 1988 Tabi and 1983 Classic Leather silhouette with the same distressed, deconstructed style cues Maison Margiela has become famous for. It boasts a polarising split toe – you’re bound to love it or hate it – and is created in nappa leather with an EVA sole. The sneakers are then made with hand-painted white coating on a black leather base – the signature ‘Bianchetto’ technique of Maison Margiela, which purposely chips with wear.

Earlier this month, we got our first close-up peep at the style thanks to the likes of Kim Kardashian and ASAP Nast.

The kicks are far different to that of the first collaborative chapter which featured a boot-sneaker hybrid and heeled iteration. The forthcoming drop also follows a Halloween collaboration with Ghostbusters in October 2020.

The Maison Margiela x Reebok Classic Leather Tabi in bianchetto will be available on Reebok.com.au on January 30, and will retail at $500 AUD.
