It’s that time again; when things start getting just a little more spookier. For several weekends, Halloween costumes are in high demand and it is probable you will run into a handful of fake zombies and witches during a Saturday evening out, horror films are trending and scary pranks are in full force. Sneaker giant Reebok is celebrating this year too, with an apt collaboration.
Tapping popular sci-fi film franchise, Ghostbusters, the anticipated partnership is ushering in a full capsule collection of footwear and apparel for Halloween 2020. First up however is the familiar classic leather silhouettes Reebok has become known for, with a theatrical twist drawn from the original ’80s film.

By far, the stand out is the Ghost Smashers sneaker which drawn from the Alien Stomper silhouette is reimagined in a high-top iteration. Dressed in a worn white leather with raw finishes, it boasts a green “pump” with several different wires and tubes, while the velcro tongue flap reveals co-branding in a sort of hazard print.
The second pair of kicks, the Ghostbusters x Reebok Classic Leather is perhaps more wearable of the two but still features key motifs. Dressed in a beige canvas similar to that of the iconic brown jumpsuit, the Ghostbusters logo is seen on the tongue, hazard tape is emblazoned on the midsole, while the catchphrase “We’re ready to believe you” has been added to the heels.

To finish the sneaker offerings, both pairs will arrive in repurposed ’80s Reebok Pump packaging that either say “Less talk, more busting” or “This is how it ends.”
