Iconic NES game Mega Man 2 turns 30 and has been re-released as a limited edition cartridge

Kids of the 80s, get ready to celebrate an important 30th. Mega Man 2, one of the most famous video games of the era is celebrating a milestone and as a result, the team at iam8bit are re-releasing the game, all in a limited-edition playable cartridge.

Included in the anniversary cartridge are some very cool features, bringing back all of the blissful nostalgia from our pre-Minecraft and Candy Crush childhoods. The dual-folded box incases exclusive game artwork, a premium instruction booklet with a foreword by Salvatore Pane (the author who penned the franchise’s history in his Mega Man 3 book) as well as the fully playable brand new NES game. Other surprise are included but that remains a mystery for now.

Only 8,500 copies have been created and will be highly sought after, with only 1,000 cartridges featured in glow-in-the-dark packaging. For $100 this may be turn out to be hugely valuable in another 30 years. Walk don’t run – buy now.
