Released in 1988, the OG Nike Air Max Plus was designed by Sean McDowell and at a time of sporting innovation, the silhouette combined three never-before-applied manufacturing techniques. Standing the test of time, and after a slew of colourways, collaborations and iterations, the style is back for a 2018 revival – 20 years after the initial launch.

First created for Footlocker stores across the US, the Air Max Plus became instantly famous and over time it has become Nike’s most iconic shoe. Known for its striking gradient upper and unique Air Max unit, the sporting powerhouse has returned the sneakers to its roots with a revisit to the “Hyper Blue,” “Sunset,” and “Purple,” colours.

Each pair from the original trifecta features a retro gradient upper, contrasting Air Max midsole and the classic caged appearance, all while adorning the recognisable TN badge on the heel.

Just in time for Christmas, the Air Max Plus “Hyper Blue,” “Sunset,” and “Purple,”  will hit stores globally from December 22, November 24, and December 15 respectively via SNKRS, at Foot Locker, and other select retailers.  Mark your calendars.
