Whether he is on stage, the red carpet or in another Calvin Klein campaign Shawn Mendes is breaking hearts across the globe. Overnight, the Canadian artist along with a long slew of A-list celebrities – think Noah Centineo, Billie Eilish, Kendall Jenner and A$SAP Rocky – stripped down for I SPEAK MY TRUTH IN #MYCALVINS.
Shot by renowned photographer Mario Sorrenti and the video directed by acclaimed director Jonas Lindstroem, the campaign celebrates the freedom of self-expression presenting today’s most influential voices telling their own stories, in their own words and inviting others around the world to do the same. Following up from the recent “Our Now” campaign, the world sees a more raw and real Shawn Mendes.
Expectedly with any of the star’s Instagram posts, fans went quite literally nuts. The comment section of Instagram and Youtube became a thirst trap, before Twitter users started reacting as Mendes bared all. The majority all started thanking the artist while the meme trail became endless. “You trying to kill us?”, one user said while many are too inappropriate to publish.
Aged at just 20, Mendes has seen his career sky rocket after being discovered covering songs on Youtube. Having just released new single “If I Can’t Have You”, Australia looks forward to having the Canadian Down Under as he continues his worldwide tour from late October.
