It is hard to escape the OTT ’80s and ’90s trends this season, and now sportswear is the norm for everyday wear, the industry is responding with a slew of the weird and the wonderful. Case in point, Gucci’s latest iteration of the satirical belt bag.
The Italian designer brand has dropped three colour-ways off the back of its NY Yankees collaboration that includes a fluoro turquoise and black rendition sporting ’80s-inspired patches as well as a vintage floral print stamped with the Yankees logo. Driving home the hands-free functionality, each belt bag features external and internal pockets, a waist and shoulder strap and is created from sturdy nylon for lasting style. It’s surprising how much room there is inside too.
