Established in 1851 within Switzerland, Bally has become the epitome of luxury heritage sportswear for over 165 years, and now with the rise of streetwear the brand has joined forces with Swizz Beatz for a new collaboration. A Grammy-award winning music producer and global entrepreneur, the partnership has presented Bally x Shok-1, a wearable art collection made for the street.

A founding member of the street art movement, British artist Shok-1 is known for his unique X-ray aesthetic that can be found around the world, and after achieving success in all corners of the industry, he has made his fashion debut. Emblazoned on a series of essential ready-to-wear basics, as well as bags and the Bally’s iconic Galaxy running-shoe and hercules hi-top sneakers, symbols of his subculture youth can be seen. Three key icons were chosen – X-Ray paintings of a hand gesture, a fly and ‘The Consumer’ – with these motifs relating to Bally’s roots in hip-hop culture when artists like Slick Rick and Doug E Fresh became devoted fans of the Swiss fashion house.

A follower of both Bally and Shok-1’s work, Swizz Beatz immediately saw potential for a collaboration. “Our focus for this capsule was exploring the art of X Ray and Shok-1 as a master artist and a legend at his craft.”

To debut the collection, Bally took to Tokyo, Japan, with a mural being placed in the Shibuya area, while a large-scale VIP party was held on the top floor of the Bally Ginza flagship. The collection is now available to shop now via online and in-stores, until November 30. Shop ICON’s picks below.
