Following the awards season red carpet is one of our favourite sports and while scrolling through the slew of dapper suits and renditions of modern tailoring, there is always one celebrity that interprets the dress code, a little left of centre. While Idris Elba donned a metallic turquoise suit at the Golden Globes – a welcomed update to the standard tux – it was young star and style icon, Timothée Chalamet who discarded the suit all together.

Storming the Golden Globes red carpet earlier this evening with his Mum in-hand, the Beautiful Boy actor opted for an all-black look, sporting a glitter harness. Whilst its not the first time that someone has experimented with the accessory – Olympian Adam Rippon strapped in during last years Oscars – Chalamet took it one step further.

And the brains behind the design? None other than Virgil Abloh for Louis Vuitton. Despite being a custom piece (sadly), the original silhouette was first debuted during the Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2019 runway, in block colours, meaning it’s still possible to cop the look.

Finished off with black tailored pants and collarless shirt, his simple approach to Golden Globes style is one we can all hop on board with – along with the internet memes that follow.
