Tommy Jeans revisits its ’80s crest for a new take on the logo trend

A pioneer of the logomania trend and branded silhouettes, Tommy Hilfiger has long been an icon of ’80s hip-hop and pop culture. Now, its diffusion label Tommy Jeans has launched “CREST”, a capsule inspired by the iconic Tommy Crest, originally released in 1985. A revisit to its all-American heritage, the collection celebrates bold self-expression through clothing.

Focusing on the classic emblem as a key motif throughout the looks, Tommy Jeans features the lion mascot on quality denim essentials with modern applications and unexpected placements. Fusing the design onto vintage silhouettes and materials, the collection is a perfect balance of street style and wearability for the Fall 2018 season.

Highlighting the brand’s quintessential colour palette of red, navy and white, coordinating pieces are adorned in tonal hues, contrasted with splashes of forest green. Key pieces from the collection include a green plaid Harrington jacket, workwear inspired dungarees as well as a line of matching bum bags, caps and socks. Finishing off the collection for added wearability, Tommy Jeans has included its famous sweatshirts, considered a best-seller among its permanent collections.

To see the collection up-close, Tommy Hilfiger is set to open an exclusive 2 day Pop-Up store this weekend. Held in the inner-Sydney suburb of Paddington, guests will be entertained with live performances from a range of local artists, a meet-and-greet appearance from fashion influencer Josh Heuston, along with goodie-bags offered to the first 100 fans. Gifts with purchase will be made available to all customers, with a chance to shop the Tommy Jeans Fall 2018 seasonal collection.
