Saturday Night Live is known for pushing buttons. For the last episode of SNL before the Christmas holidays, the comedic television show pressed the biggest of them all with a “It’s A Wonderful Life” parody, featuring the one-and-only President Donald Trump.

In a take on the holiday classic, a defeated Trump (Alec Baldwin) is visited by an angel called Clarence (Kenan Thompson) and brought to a holiday party in an alternate reality where Hillary won the 2016 election. Also starring Matt Damon as Brett Kavanaugh, Ben Stiller as Michael Cohen and Robert DeNiro as Robert Mueller, expectedly the parody plays on the fact that the world is a better place with the missing Trump.

Airing on Saturday, local US time, Trump was quick to respond shortly after, with a scathing tweet aimed at the network.

“A REAL scandal is the one sided coverage, hour by hour, of networks like NBC & Democrat spin machines like Saturday Night Live. It is all nothing less than unfair news coverage and Dem commercials. Should be tested in courts, can’t be legal? Only defame & belittle! Collusion?” he wrote.

Threatening to take Saturday Night Live and NBC to court, it will only be a matter of time to see if truth is found in his statement.

But Trump was not the only one unimpressed with the episode, with many fans also taking to Twitter to express their boredom with the spectacle.
