Despite a hostless evening, the 2019 Academy Awards proved to be a resounding success and while the evening had its fair share of drama and controversy, the event did, what it had set out to do – celebrate the best in film. The competition for much of the evening was tight, but taking out the top spot, Best Picture, it was Green Book who ultimately triumphed.
