وُلد في يافا وترعرع في قرية البعنة بالجليل، في بيتٍ دافئ محصّن بالحب. درس الأدب الإنجليزي والمسرح قبل أن يشقّ طريقه إلى نيويورك. ممثلٌ يرفض الأدوار النمطية ويؤمن بقداسة الفن، من فيلم "عمر" المرشّح للأوسكار إلى "اللي باقي منك" حيث جسّد الشخصية نفسها مع والده الراحل محمد بكري، في أول وآخر فيلم جمعهما معًا. رسّامٌ وقارئٌ وكاتب، وإنسانٌ حساس يحمل شكوكه وإيمانه باليد نفسها. آدم بكري، نجم غلافنا، في حديث عن الفقد والإبداع والفن في زمن نتساءل فيه عن جدوى كل شيء، وأي شي.
