Following the release of Avengers: Endgame – the spectacular finale to a 22-film Marvel Cinematic Universe franchise – the next chapter to the ongoing Marvel group is upon us. Revealed in the second trailer to Spider-Man: Far From Home, we see the aftermath of the MCU final and a fresh look at the young rendition of Peter Parker (Tom Holland). As a word of warning, I’d refrain from watching or reading any further dues to some Endgame spoilers.

According to Sony President Amy Pascal, the new film will pick up a few minutes after the End Game film left off. An illustration of Peter Parker’s grief following the death of Iron Man’s Tony Stark, Far From Home will follow the young super hero as he leaves his home on New York for a trip to Europe with his friends Ned, MJ, and the rest of the gang. While Parker plans to leave his powers behind for the time being, he is unexpectedly pulled into a fiery battle, recruited by Nick Fury. He along with superhero Mysterio (played by Jake Gyllenhaal) will need to uncover the secrets of the mysterious elemental creature attacks in order to save the continent from havoc.

Starring Tom Holland, Samuel L. Jackson, Zendaya, Cobie Smulders, Jon Favreau, JB Smoove, Jacob Batalon, Martin Starr with Marisa Tomei and Jake Gyllenhaal and directed by Jon Watts, the next chapter in the Spider-Man™: Homecoming series is slated to drop into cinemas from July 1.
