Just when we thought celebrity couples couldn’t get anymore unexpected (like Taika Waititi and Rita Ora), this happens. On Saturday evening, Angelina Jolie and The Weeknd (whose real name is Abel Makkonen Tesfaye) were papped together at Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica. According to a report by the Daily Mail, the pair arrived separately, and dined in a private section of the Italian restaurant for two and a half hours before leaving together.
The Oscar-winning actress and director, 45, wore an ankle-grazing black dress with black pumps and a coat, while the Grammy-winning artist, 31, opted for a jacket with contrast stitching, black jeans and boots.
Their latest interaction sparks more romance rumours from the duo after they were spotted leaving the same restaurant on June 30. On July 10, they were again photographed attending a private concert in Los Angeles. This is surely no coincidence.

Jolie has seemingly remained single after she filed for divorce from Brad Pitt in 2016. The couple are currently in court over custody of their five children who are still considered minors (their eldest, Maddox, is 20).
“I’m not the kind of person who makes decisions like the decisions I had to make lightly,” Jolie said of divorcing Pitt in a recent interview. “It took a lot for me to be in a position where I felt I had to separate from the father of my children.”
As for The Weeknd, he has previously been linked to Selena Gomez and Bella Hadid.
The unexpected coupling is reminiscent of Irina Shayk’s short-lived relationship to Kanye West. The pair went their separate ways in August after just two months together. A source for Us Weekly said at the time, “Kanye and Irina are over, but they never really started, there’s nothing going on there.”
As for the aforementioned Waititi and Ora, they’re still going strong and have been spotted multiple times together including at the Met Gala. They met in Australia while filming their respective productions.
