It appears that Brad Pitt is seeing a resurgence back into the Hollywood scene and after his stellar role in the newly-released Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, the actor will round out 2019 in sci-fi blockbuster Ad Astra. Following the unveiling of the second trailer last month, we now have a closer look at the action-packed mystery with a new IMAX trailer.
Leading an all-star cast including Tommy Lee Jones, Ruth Negga, Liv Tyler and Donald Sutherland, Pitt plays American astronaut Roy McBride as he follows in his father’s footsteps into astronomy greatness. Delving deep into the physical and psychological traumas that outer space causes, we will see Pitt in a new and exciting light. The official synopsis reads:
“Astronaut Roy McBride (Brad Pitt) travels to the outer edges of the solar system to find his missing father and unravel a mystery that threatens the survival of our planet. His journey will uncover secrets that challenge the nature of human existence and our place in the cosmos.”
Directed by James Gray, Pitt also joins the lineup of producers that also includes Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner, James Gray, Rodrigo Teixeira, Anthony Katagas. Ad Astra is slated to drop into cinemas from September 19. While you mark your calendars, tune into the new trailer below.
