In a groundbreaking move, Canada Goose has announced Haider Ackermann as its first-ever Creative Director. The Colombian-born, French designer, celebrated for his innovative approach to modern design, will steer the brand’s creative direction from his Paris base. Working alongside Chairman and CEO Dani Reiss, Ackermann is set to usher Canada Goose into an exciting new chapter.

“Haider Ackermann epitomises the fusion of craftsmanship and beauty,” said Reiss. “His innate understanding of our brand’s unique essence—rooted in authenticity, craftsmanship, and performance—makes him the perfect choice to lead our creative evolution.”

Ackermann’s appointment is marked by a special project supporting Polar Bears International (PBI), an organisation dedicated to the conservation of polar bears and their habitats. Inspired by a trip to Churchill, Manitoba—the polar bear capital of the world—with Reiss, Ackermann has designed an exclusive PBI Hoodie. This initiative underscores their shared commitment to environmental stewardship.

The launch campaign features legendary actress and activist Jane Fonda, a fitting ambassador for this cause given her lifelong dedication to environmental and social issues.

“What attracted me to Canada Goose was their authenticity and commitment to meaningful impact,” Ackermann shared. “My visit to Churchill ignited a passion to do more for our planet. Partnering with the incredible Jane Fonda, we hope to inspire urgent action to address the climate crisis.”

Fonda echoed this sentiment, emphasising the power of collective action. “We must make planet-friendly choices to tackle the climate crisis. Collaborating with Haider and Canada Goose to highlight Arctic conservation is powerful and essential.”

The limited-edition PBI Hoodie, crafted from organic cotton, is available now in select stores and online at CanadaGoose.com. All proceeds will support PBI’s research, conservation strategies, and educational outreach. Ackermann’s first full collection for Canada Goose is slated for release in Fall/Winter 2024.

With this dynamic partnership, Canada Goose and Haider Ackermann are not only redefining high fashion but also championing a critical environmental cause.
