The world is in shock as rapper, businessman and philanthropist Nipsey Hussle was tragically killed in a shooting on Sunday afternoon. Far more than the tough exterior he is fronted with, the Grammy-nominated artist’s life ended in front of his Marathon Clothing Store in Los Angeles, with two others also wounded.

A figurehead who escaped from the “hood’, Hussle dedicated his life to his children, music and charity work and on Sunday, fans and well-wishers gathered around the crime scene, many of whom were reported to be crying. In a report by NBC News, the suspect still remains at large. Hours before the crime, the 33-year-old tweeted, “Having strong enemies is a blessing,” make this case even more mysterious.

Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti’s Crisis Response Team confirmed the news on Sunday night, saying, “Today we lost a great musician, Nipsey Hussle.” And is, “consoling and offering support to the family.”

Now, following the stream of news, celebrities are taking to social media with heartfelt tributes for the late Hussle. From Rihanna to Colin Kaepernick, its already apparent the impact he has made not only in his community but worldwide.
