Frank Ocean is a hard man to tie down. In 2013, the musician cancelled his tour of Australia – he hasn’t returned to the country to date – and in 2017, he gave up his headline slot at Barcelona’s Primavera Sound festival, as well as three other festival headline slots, and cancelled a run of shows around the release of his second album Blonde.

But the 2020 Coachella lineup has been released and it marks a highly-anticipated return to the stage for Ocean, who hasn’t performed at the Palm Springs festival since 2012, prior to the release of his acclaimed Channel Orange album.

Ocean is headlining Coachella’s final night, after Rage Against the Machine on Friday and rapper Travis Scott on Saturday. On top of the three headliners, Australia’s own Flume, Radiohead’s Thom Yorke and Fatboy Slim made the bill, as well as FKA Twigs, Disclosure and Brockhampton.

The first weekend of Coachella is already sold out, with presale registration for the second weekend now open for pre-sale tickets which will go live on Monday, Jan 6th at 12pm PST.

Coachella takes place on the weekends of 10 and 17 April.
