’90s kids rejoice! When Disney made the decision to overhaul its classics and new favourites from the screens of a number of streaming services last year, the likes of Netflix had begun to look pretty bleak. While there have been rumours and reports of a separate streaming service exclusive to the studio launching overseas, Australian steaming service, Stan has struck an epic deal with The Walt Disney Company Australia and New Zealand.
Just in time for the holidays, the deal will bring some of Disney’s best live-action and animated films and television to the service this Friday, December 14. The company’s biggest brands including Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation Studios, Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm and Disney Channel will now be found in one place.
From family favourites including Toy Story and The Lion King, to recent Marvel blockbusters such as Thor: Ragnarok, Avengers: Infinity War and Black Panther – we can guarantee you’ll be doing nothing else this weekend.
Mike Sneesby, Stan’s CEO said “Disney is one of the most iconic entertainment brands globally and we are very proud to be partnering with them to bring a huge collection of their biggest live-action and animated films and TV programmes to our customers. With hits from across all their biggest franchises including Disney Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm as well as Disney Channels’ TV series and movies, the deal further illustrates Stan’s ongoing commitment to provide our customers with the world’s very best premium entertainment.”
