Just in! Style notes from Emily Ratajkowski: If you decide to wear a floor-length trench in high summer in Europe, you must be naked underneath.
Attending Loewe’s buzzy, sparkle-clad Spring/Summer 2024 menswear collection in Paris on Sunday, the 32-year-old model, author and mother-of-one wore a long, matrix-esque trench (and the House’s famed Goya bag), prompting photographers to ask how she was indeed staying cool.
“Inappropriately, obviously. Look at me, I’m sweating so much,” Ratajkowski responded, as captured by i-D for TikTok.
“I’m naked underneath this, but I’m gonna go change.”
With temperatures reaching 26 degrees Celsius, we’re not completely sure how the Loewe front row fixture didn’t get stuck inside the garment. The Gemini beauty, who celebrated her birthday on June 7 with a star-studded soiree in NYC, accompanied the look with her newly-cut bangs (which really held up considering the humidity in the city.)

Maybe a re-wear of the backless, anthurium flower top—a standout from Loewe’s Fall/Winter 2023 womenwear show—would have been a safer bet. But as usual, and despite the heat, Ratajkowski pulled the look off.
While the mercury is rising in Europe, Australian women are tempering some icy temps. Inspired by Ms. Ratajkowski, here are three new season long black coats that we’re coveting right now.
