With the coming of the new month comes a slew of new (and old) titles set to hit our screens via the much-loved streaming platform, Netflix. And while sometimes too many options can prove a burden – the struggle is real, folks – we’ve made your job a little more bearable by collating all the new cinematic goodies hitting our Netflix screens this June.

Here are all the new movies and TV shows, documentaries and mini-series coming to Netflix this June, including our favourites to watch.

Interceptor

It would seem that big action blockbusters are common thread amongst the Hemsworth clan. But while Mr. Chris Hemsworth might have taken up a lot of the attention with all his new releases films set to be released, this time it’s his wife Elsa Pataky who gets in on the action… literally.

Pataky plays a tough and reality-bruised Captain JJ Collins in the new film Interceptor, where she finds herself in charge of a lone nuclear missile interceptor base in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. But when a simultaneous coordinated attack then threatens the base itself, Collins comes face-to-face with Luke Bracey’s villain in Alexander Kessel, a former US military intelligence officer intent on carrying out a monstrous plan.

Peaky Blinders

They say that all good things must come to an end, and in the case of the incredibly popular Peaky Blinders series, the end is nigh for Thomas Shelby and his gang.

“Then we Peaky Blinders rest”

While the final season promises to go out with a bang, there have been whispers that a feature film and spin-off series are in the works.

Hustle

While Adam Sandler is renowned for his comedic approach to film, his last few films have been incredibly serious, showing off a different side to the dynamic actor. In the case of Hustle, Sandler plays a down on his luck basketball scout who discovers a once-in-a-lifetime player abroad. The film chronicles the struggles Sandler has with bringing the basketball star to America to hopefully make the NBA.

Spiderhead

We weren’t lying when we said that the Hemsworth family loves making films. Rather than a mega Hollywood blockbuster, Hemsworth tackles a different role in Spiderhead, playing the brilliant visionary of a state-of-the-art penitentiary where inmates wear a surgically attached device that administers dosages of mind-altering drugs in exchange for commuted sentences.
