You may recognise Felix Mallard, the affable and talented Australian actor, from hugely popular American comedy-drama Ginny & Georgia. Now, the 26-year-old stars opposite Isabela Merced in John Green’s 2017 YA novel-turned-movie Turtles All The Way Down; a The Fault In Our Stars-type romantic tale about a teenage girl who struggles to derail her thought spirals. The Melbourne-born, Los Angeles-based actor—who today boasts 3.6 million followers on Instagram—was recently in Tokyo to attend the star-studded opening of Tiffany & Co.’s Tiffany Wonder high jewellery exhibition (open at TOKYO NODE until June 23). His first time in the Japanese capital, Mallard spent a day exploring the city’s warren of concealed gems and shares his photo diary and journal notes below. Take a look.
I could try to be poetic about this moment. The floating blossom leaves, the quiet, solemn energy of millions pulled into one intersection. But honestly, I was probably just looking for a place to eat.
