The latest instalment of the James Bond franchise has officially entered the production phase. After a series of set backs that included the change in director – Cary Joji Fukunaga stepped up to replace Danny Boyle – Bond frontman Daniel Craig suffered an ankle injury whilst in Jamaica last month and a small controlled explosion injured one person in London, the film is on schedule to release next year.

Details surrounding the film have been sketchy – the untitled film is only known as ‘Bond 25‘ – but now behind-the-scenes footage has been released giving fans a taste of what to expect. Set to be filmed in Jamaica, London, Italy and Norway, the synopsis takes James Bond across the world to rescue a kidnapped scientist from a mysterious new villain.

On-set footage shows Craig as the returning character while we also see Cary Fukunaga directing the team, Captain Marvel’s Lashana Lynch as Noni and even Jeffrey Wright’s return as Felix Leiter. Though short, we do gauge a sense of the film however what remains to be seen is Rami Malek’s transformation as the unnamed villain. ‘Bond 25’ will also see appearances from Ana De Armas, David Dencik, Billy Magnussen, Dali Benssalah, Lea Seydoux, Ben Whishaw, Rory Kinnear, Naomie Harris and Ralph Fiennes.

As we wait for more information to surface, check out the teaser below. The film is slated to drop into cinemas across the globe from April 2020. Stay tuned for more.
