G.O.T. fans get your tissues ready because screen characters Jon Snow and Ygritte got married – in real life. Stars of the popular HBO series, Kit Harington and Rose Leslie tied the knot on Saturday in Aberdeen, Scotland. A handful of co-stars were also in attendance, including Emilia Clarke, Sophie Turner, Maisie Williams and Peter Dinklage.
According to CNN, the couple had been dating for several years before going public in 2016 on the red carpet at the Olivier Awards in London. Harington proposed in October.
“I was going to string up some lights in some trees and do all the romantic stuff, but we were in the country and we were sort of under this beautiful night sky and had a log fire burning and red wine and … I popped my question a bit early,” he said on Britain’s “The Jonathan Ross Show.”
The actors are both aged 31, with Harington playing Jon Snow and Leslie playing Ygritte, the characters were in love before Snow was killed off in the fourth season.
