Following the 2014 film of Godzilla, its director Michael Dougherty has spent months teasing the sequel, and finally, we have a first look of what is to come. Entitled “Godzilla: King of the Monsters”, the creature has been revived, the first images showing it spewing atomic breath to the sky.

Introducing two new cast members Vera Farmiga (The Conjuring) playing monster hunter Dr. Emma Russell, and Stranger Things‘ Millie Bobby Brown as her daughter Madison, the movie will be set five years after the 2014 film. According to the director, “The world is reacting to Godzilla in the same way we would react to any other terrifying incident, in that we are overreacting. There’s paranoia and endless speculation about whether [Godzilla] is the only one out there or whether we’re threatened by others like his kind.” There has also been hints that staple monsters including Mothra, Rodan, and King Ghidorah may make an appearance.
