With rumours and reports surfacing in May over the potential inclusion of Jake Gyllenhaal in Spider-Man: Far From Home, behind-the-scenes pictures and videos posted on Twitter have confirmed the news. Known for his roles in projects such as The Day After Tomorrow, Brokeback Mountain and Prisoners, the actor is set to play the infamous villain Mysterio in the upcoming film.

Filming believed to be in its final stages on the streets of Liberec, Czech Republic, fiery sets and intense scenes are shown taking place with Gyllenhaal in full costume. Other confirmed actors for the film include Tom Holland starring as Spider-Man, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and Cobie Smulders as Maria Hill.

Directed by Jon Watts and written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, the homecoming sequel is expected to drop into cinemas on July 5, 2019. Check out the shots below for a BTS look into the new film.
