In a move no one saw coming, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has teamed up with T-Pain to drop an acoustic twist on the classic party anthem, “Get Low” by Lil Jon & The East Side Boyz. The duo, now dubbed “Z-Pain,” released the track Wednesday as a surprise anniversary gift for Zuckerberg’s wife, Priscilla Chan.

The collaboration began taking shape on social media earlier this week when Zuckerberg shared a behind-the-scenes snapshot of himself with T-Pain, captioning it, “It’s happening, guys.” Soon after, T-Pain shared the same post, referring to Zuckerberg as “Z”—hinting at the pair’s new moniker.

The reason behind this quirky cover? In an Instagram post, Zuckerberg explained, “‘Get Low’ was playing when I first met Priscilla at a college party, so every year we listen to it on our dating anniversary,” Zuckerberg captioned the post. “This year I worked with @tpain on our own version of this lyrical masterpiece. Sound on for the track and also available on Spotify. Love you P ❤️” The post featured heartfelt touches, including lyrics surrounded by a heart and the Z-Pain album cover, with the duo in the studio and guitars in hand.

The original “Get Low,” a hit from Lil Jon & The East Side Boyz’s Kings of Crunk album in 2002, is known for its high-energy beat and club-ready tempo. However, “Z-Pain’s” version slows things down, adding auto-tuned vocals and an acoustic feel that’s more romantic tribute than party banger.

T-Pain hyped the collaboration on his Instagram, announcing, “Z-Pain has arrived … Get Low by zuck and me out now.” Zuckerberg shared Chan’s reaction as well: “It’s so romantic,” she joked. “21 years later, I can’t get quite as low, but it brings back a lot of fun memories.”

It’s an unlikely but sweet surprise, and “Z-Pain’s” take on Get Low is now streaming on Spotify, proving that even billionaires can have a little fun with nostalgia.
