Originally planned for release in 2017, the third instalment of the Bad Boys franchise has been highly anticipated. 23 years since the inception of the first film in 1995 and 17 since years since the sequel in 2003, OG leads Martin Lawrence and Will Smith have reprised their action-packed, comedic roles in the latest trailer. Titled Bad Boys For Life, the duo are fighting crime, though not quite in the way you’d expect.

The official synopsis reads:

“Old-school cops Mike Lowery and Marcus Burnett team up to take down the vicious leader of a Miami drug cartel. Newly created elite team AMMO of the Miami police department along with Mike and Marcus go up against the ruthless Armando Armas.”

Directed by Adil El Arbi & Bilall Fallah, the cast will also include A-list talent, Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig, Charles Melton, Paola Nunez, Kate Del Castillo, Nicky Jam and Joe Pantoliano. After being pushed back, the film will finally release January 16, 2020. Mark your calendars for ’90s nostalgia.
