On many levels, the annual Met Gala is somewhat of a glamorous fantasy; an unaccessible party world where the rich and famous bask in the glitz and glamour of their seemingly perfect worlds. With the exception of recent years and the rise of social media, the press were just treated to the red carpet happenings before the party was whisked away into the unknown alcoves of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.

Thanks to the likes of Instagram, the yearly event is less private than it once was but that doesn’t stop us from lusting over images for weeks after.

During the pink carpet, Frank Ocean received a decent amount of criticism for his dressed-down attire for the theme, ‘Camp: Notes on Fashion’. Far from the array of neon and feathers that adorned just about every other guest (though we’ve cracked the code to his and Kanye West’s style choice), it appears he was also on the job for Anna Wintour. With a camera in-hand though it was assumed to be a clever accessory choice, images from the evening have now appeared on Vogue.

Capturing the fashion night-of-nights from an insiders perspective, the previously unseen film is a frivolous and magical depiction of the night from closed and very exclusive doors. For a full look at the images, check it out here. You won’t be disappointed.
