Ever since its debut onto the small screen in July, 2016, Netflix‘s Stranger Things has captured a wide and passionate audience, following a young group of children, based in the year of 1984. Now, after two successful seasons, the streaming service has finally announced the release date for the third, following months of teasers and rumours.

Following on from the events that occurred in the second season, the network released its final cryptic trailer via Youtube which gives fans several clues to the incoming episodes. Reportedly comprising of eight new chapters, the episodes will be set in the year of 1985, featuring all of your regular favourites including, Finn Wolfhard as Mike Wheeler, Noah Schnapp as Will Byers, Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven, Caleb McLaughlin as Lucas Sinclair, Gaten Matarazzo as Dustin Henderson, plus many more.

The trailer reveals scenes of the 1985 Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, before going on to tease computer coding and interface weaving clues from “When Blue and Yellow Meet in the West” and tapping out commands to launch the program “SilverCatFeeds.exe.”

According to the trailer, the third season of Stranger Things will drop onto Netflix from July 4, 2019. With just seven months away before the anticipated release, we can expect the fan theories to go wild.
