It is safe to say that after 26 years of Jurassic Park, the franchise has well and truly become an institution. Behind the last two film instalments, Colin Trevorrow has shot to fame thanks to his growing resume and in the latest news, the director has announced that the original cast of the 1993 film will return.

Including OG heroes Laura Dern, Sam Neill, and Jeff Goldblum, the famed actors will reprise their roles for a nostalgic reboot and has been described as a “sizeable” roles, according to Collider

Despite having poor a reception for Jurassic World and again for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom from critics, both films have seen exorbitant box office results and in turn have sparked a fourth film. The recent addition of the three nostalgic characters will be a bid to revive the film perception, infusing a strong sense of nostalgia back into the film. We can only hope to see Dern’s high-waisted shorts, Neill’s alluring glare and Goldblum’s extensive wardrobe – something he still boasts in real life.

There is no release date set for the forthcoming film, however is has been reported that it will start production in early 2020. For now, we will enjoy throwback images of the celebrated trio.
