After a massive Oscars win for his legendary performance in Bohemian Rhapsody, Rami Malek is back for more. According to a report from Collider, the actor is ready for his next transformation, allegedly in final negotiations to play the villain in the next instalment of the James Bond franchise.

Set to join the rest of the cast which includes Daniel Craig as James Bond, Léa Seydoux as psychologist Madeleine Swann and Naomie Harris reprising her role from Spectre, the villain is rumoured to be a blind man although any further details are sketchy.

The news does not come completely as a surprise however, with Variety previously reporting Malek was being eyed for the villain role, but his schedule on the last season of “Mr. Robot,” would stop him from taking the gig. That has been resolved, with sources saying his team have fixed scheduling conflicts.

Directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga, reports are also speculating that fellow Oscar-winner Lupita Nyong’o could also be cast for a key role – that is if she decides to take it.

Bond 25 is slated to drop into cinemas in April, 2020. Stay tuned for further developments.
