What do you get when you pair Ryan Reynolds with director Michael Bay’s affinity for action? For the case of 6 Underground, copious explosions, stunts and fast cars. Known for his work on fan-favourite block busters such as Pearl Harbour and Transformers, Michael Bay has brought his knack for action-packed scenes and captivating storylines to the streaming world. And leading an all-star cast, Ryan reynolds has ditched the Deadpool suit for a new crime-fighting role.

Also featuring Dave Franco, Ben Hardy, Corey Hawkins and Adria Arjona, 6 Underground follows six vigilantes who have faked their own deaths in order to hunt the world’s most notorious criminals – naturally, they have a massive fight to overcome. Featuring Hollywood-class acting and bursts of dark humour from Reynolds – we wouldn’t expect anything less – the film will be one to make a reminder for as Netflix continues to bring fresh and exciting content to the service.

The company reportedly spent $150 million on 6 Underground making it one of its most expensive films commissioned. Slated to drop to the service from December 13, it will join a stellar lineup of forthcoming films which includes The King, starring Timothée Chalamet.
