Sebastian Stan, Marvel’s very own Winter Soldier, is taking on a new, somewhat less heroic role — portraying none other than Donald Trump in the upcoming biopic The Apprentice. Snapped by Page Six photographers in Toronto, Stan was spotted sporting Trump’s signature dry-as-a-tumbleweed blond wig-we mean hair-complete with a black wool coat and paisley tie, while munching on a sandwich during a snowy scene.

The Apprentice, set in the 70s and 80s, dives into Trump’s early real estate ventures in New York City. It’s described as a tale of ambition and power, sprinkled with a bit of moral ambiguity. Jeremy Strong and Maria Bakalova join Stan, playing attorney Roy Cohn and Ivana Trump, respectively.
Sebastian Stan isn’t new to transforming for biopics. He’s previously morphed into figures like Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev, with a Snape-like hairstyle in Dumb Money, and rockstar Tommy Lee in Pam & Tommy, complete with tattoos and piercings. He’s also set to star in A Different Man, another role demanding heavy prosthetics.
Amidst these portrayals, Stan continues his Marvel journey, preparing for his tenth MCU film, Thunderbolts, where he reprises his role as Bucky Barnes.
But the film isn’t just about Trump’s past glories. It’s a reminder of his controversial tenure, including his infamous stint on reality TV. Trump’s The Apprentice and The Celebrity Apprentice era ended abruptly in 2015 after NBC dropped him for his divisive comments about immigrants.
Despite having an opinion on everything else, Trump has yet to comment on the movie. Perhaps that could do with the fact he has more important problems looming over him. Like potential prison time, for example. The disgraced former President of the United States is currently under investigation for his actions surrounding the 2020 Presidential Election and his attempts to influence or overturn the election results, which he consistently claimed were fraudulent despite a lack of supporting evidence. Additionally, Trump faced inquiries into his business practices, including potential tax and financial fraud.
