Once upon a time, hoodies and sweatshirts were considered exclusive to loungewear and sportswear (and I mean, actual sportswear). Not before long and thanks to the casual deconstruction of normal attire, the cosy fit infiltrated streetwear. Wherever you go, when the temperature dips, people are copping the hoodie for everyday wear.

Streetwear giants such as BAPE, Supreme and KITH have specialised in the printed hoodie for decades and now, luxury fashion has made its own spin on the kit essential. Gone are the days when covering your face was considered suss and a sweatshirt, jeans and a coveted pair of sneakers is considered royalty style on the streets.

The likes of Justin Bieber and Pete Davidson are just two examples that pull-off the sleezy fit, and since working from home has become a trending topic, so has the humble ‘jumper’. Winter is impending Down Under and with lockdowns more imminent, it is time to stock up. The general rule of thumb for comfort and style is the baggier the better.
