Speedcat x Lulu & the BeanstalkThere is a very familiar quandary that plagues many—the quest for the ideal sneaker. And there’s a great many somethings a shoe has to be to afford that title: something that’s good quality, something that goes with everything, something that’s comfortable, etcetera and so forth. PUMA’s Speedcat being back on the table makes this equation that much more simple. Inspired by the streamlined silhouettes invoked by racing cars of the late 90s and early 2000s, the shoe is making a triumphant return in a time where interest in the F-1 circuit is at an all time high.

The Speedcat was revived from the PUMA archive last summer, quickly garnering attention with celebrity endorsements and sell-out releases. It’s quickly reclaiming its status as a cultural icon worldwide, and in the MENA region, PUMA is revving it up with fresh twists in Dubai and Saudi Arabia that merge fashion, food, and art.

Speedcat x Lulu & the BeanstalkTaking advantage of Dubai’s vibrant dining scene, sneakerheads and foodies alike can enjoy the Speedcat Menu at Lulu & The Beanstalk. For four nights from February 5th to 8th, the popular restaurant is serving up five exclusive combo meals, each featuring limited-edition packaging. With every Speedcat combo ordered between 6 and 11pm, guests receive a scratch card offering a chance to win a free pair of Speedcats. The collaboration rewards winners on a first-come, first-served basis, turning every dinner into a race for the exclusive sneaker.

In Saudi Arabia, PUMA’s activation with artist Rex Chouk brings their commitment to uplifting regional artists to life. Known for his bold depictions of Saudi life, Chouk has incorporated the Speedcat silhouette into a limited-edition vinyl figure. This collectible piece features his iconic character decked out in a pair of Speedcats and matching PUMA apparel. It’s a modern design with a display of cultural pride. The figure will be available from February 23rd for those who have added a Speedcat to their personal collection between February 8 – 22. Street art enthusiasts will have to move fast to snatch the collaboration up (available at the Red Sea Mall Jeddah, Solitaire Mall in Riyadh and Nakheel Dammam), as the toy is available on a first come first serve basis.

The relaunch of the PUMA Speedcat not only honours its racing roots but also propels it into the realm of regional culture. Food and arts are at the heart of society and culture. By juxtaposing the Speedcat with familiar favourites, PUMA invites communities in the UAE and Saudi Arabia to be a part of its evolving legacy—one collectible at a time.
